Hired them to trim and take down some trees. Had some trouble scheduling but it was due to my availability and the fact that it kept snowing on the days they were suppose to come. They did an excellent job at a very reasonable price. I would use them again the next time I need tree work.

Great experience with Barrett. The did several large and small trees in my lawn over the winter. Missed one stump due to the snow. Came back and gladly took care of it. Highly recommended.

We hired Barrett to cut back a tree that was interfering with our power and cable wires and was shedding all over our roof. They did an AWESOME job! The crew knew exactly what they were doing. They were able to cut the back all of the needed limbs. But, they did such a great job shaping it, that you could not tell that it was so radically changed. They caused no damage with the wires or any other property. They did it quickly and cleaned up meticulously. The best part was that they were reasonably priced. We hope to hire them back for other trees soon. I would recommend them anytime!!

Randy Barrett has been in the tree service and removal business for over 30 years. So he must be doing something right. He has removed a couple of trees for me and has done a lot of work for my brother and sister-in-law. Not just removing trees but also shaping and treating trees to save them.

He and his crew are extremely professional and do an outstanding job, from the beginning of the job to completion. Which is why people who have used his services are repeat customers. (A neighbor of mine had a tree removed using another tree removal company. Yes, they removed the tree but left a mess for not only my neighbor but also for everyone else who's property was in close proximity!)

100% satisfied. 11 years at this location and never touched 3 backyard trees. Also had a rubbery mulberry tree invade the fence between property of neighbor and I. Called 5 companies for estimates. Metuchen Tree Service called back but never came for an estimate. Rich Tree Service never called back. Diaz Tree Service was firm on their fair price (their prerogative). Princeton Tree Service was, in my opinion, way overpriced.
Then Barrett...spoke to John.. came by personally in a couple of days for the estimate. Price point beat both other quites. They came early 6 days later and amazed. Powerful equipment all gassed up and team of 5 men and John worked efficiently, carefully, neatly and it looks better than i imagined.

Had two trees that needed to come down in my back yard. John and his crew were punctual, efficient and best of all very professional. They're also very well priced and in addition to taking out the trees they trimmed my front yard hedges and smaller trees free of charge. I hired John Barrett to remove a large tree from my front yard, as well as do some grooming on some of the other trees.

After providing me a free estimate and walking me through the process of getting a permit, I decided to pull the trigger and hire him. His crew was on time, courteous, and fixed any and all messes they made in the tree removal, stump, grinding, and grooming. In addition, he was incredibly tolerant of some other workers who were at my house.

Overall, the price was right, the service was impeccable, and John was an incredibly friendly guy who took the time to tell me how awesome being a dad is (my wife was expecting at the time of the job), and to chat about how cool it is to have a beard.

You won't regret hiring these guys. They'll be my go-to for tree work and landscaping in the future.

Called to get a price on cleanup of large debris from tree work completed by the electric company. Came to the house, looked at it and hauled the large branch away at no cost. Also spoke for a few about the trees on my property - he was very knowledgeable. Will certainly use this service in the future!

I contacted Barrett to pull a pine tree out of my front yard, and they were great. Offered me different options on removal, accepted a competitors coupon and delivered fast service. My front yard looked horrible before they came, very overgrown and unkempt. The worker did a fantastic job and now my lawn looks excellent! Would use again.

I hired barrett to remove a few trees from my home and they did a great job. They arrived on time and had the three trees down and out in less than 3 hours. The prices were fair but they were available to work immediately.

Fast, Clean, and Professional
Barret Tree Service removed four large maple trees from my back yard. They also grinded the stumps, plus an additional stump of a tree that had fallen. I was impressed with their professionalism from the time they came to give me the estimate until the time they cleaned up my yard and left. I recommend Barret Tree Service to anyone needing a tree or trees removed!

We had 2 very large and oak trees trimmed and a double norwood spruce removed. We also observed the trimming and tree removal they did at our 2 neighbor's homes (we referred Barretts to them). They are a very professional, and efficient operation, and they take pride in their work. Our trees look great and much of care was taken to not damage any property or other vegetation. They trim very selectively, and only take what is needed, keeping a beautiful shape to the trees. I would strongly recommend Barrett's Tree Service over others we have used in the past.
